In
the 1960's on 3 separate occasions a man named William Neff became suddenly
invisible, needless
to say, this would definitely help out his career as a stage magician. The only problem was that he had no control over it, and he didn't evan know it was happening whenever it did. One time that he vanished was while he was doing a show in Chicago, then another time it happened in front of his wife (who was terrified) and the third time was witnessed by a broadcaster named Long John Knebel. John Knebel was skeptical himself but described what he seen in his book entitled The Way Out World. He was at one of Neff's performances at the Paramount Theatre in New York City, when "it seemed that Neff's body was becoming minutely translucent" until "you could see the traveler curtain clearly behind his transparent figure." Knebel said that evan though Neff was fading from view his voice was still perfectly audible. Then as he started to reappear Knebel wrote "Gradually a rather faint outline, like a very faint pencil sketch of Neff, appeared again." Neff claimed to not have been aware of anything ever happening. Kind of makes you wonder, doesn't it?? . |
